RawVoice Acquires TechPodcasts Network

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

New York, NY 3/29/2007 1:23 PM GMT

RawVoice has acquired the TechPodcasts Network, company officials announced today. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The TechPodcasts Network was founded in January 2005 and quickly became a popular niche community for technical-oriented podcasts. The Network features Slashdot Review, the Mike Tech Show, and other podcasts covering topics from programming in Linux to LCD monitor repair. The Tech Podcast Round Table, the Network’s showcase podcast, reaches over 30,000 viewers a month.

“This acquisition enhances what was already a strong connection,” said Jeevan Padiyar, CFO of RawVoice. “With the added features of RawVoice Generator, we’ll be able to do even more for the podcasters in the Network, and their listeners.”

The TechPodcast Network site is at www.techpodcasts.com.

The new site will launch today, with a new look and new features like social networking, show comments, and MyCast custom rss playlists. These functions are powered by the RawVoice Generator engine which also operates the PodcasterNews Network, PodcastPromos, and the Blubrry community.
All are RawVoice properties.

The Right Tool For The Job

Saturday, March 24th, 2007

We’re starting to see podcaster’s grow their shows to the point where they may be seeking to create small networks. We’re also hearing from businesses that are interested in creating their own communities or networks around media. Both of these groups are facing the same questions when it comes to distributing media.

They want to distribute media, but that’s not all. They want to create communities around the media and provide tools for their users to subscribe to content and connect with each other. And they also want room to expand without a ridiculous amount of effort.

These desires make perfect sense. After all, podcasting in itself doesn’t create a connection with the audience. You need to make things easy and provide tools to help audience members connect with shows and each other.

Our RawVoice Generator platform addresses these issues and more. Our platform helps to simplify workflow by creating automatic file names and writing ID3 tags based on configurable information.

The audience gets social network features like friend lists, comments, one-click subscription and subscription sharing. Podcasts are searchable via show notes and tags. Podcasts can either be created within the system or aggregated from existing RSS feeds.

And you needn’t worry about scalability. The RawVoice Generator can easily handle over a thousand podcast channels.

Want to see a demo? Just head over to our podcast community at Blubrry.com to have a look at the user facing features of the RawVoice Generator. We’ve got over a thousand podcasts in the Blubrry community and more are added everyday.

The back end admin provides even more features including ad survey management, detailed statistics and a variety of publishing options. If you need a solution for your podcast network or community you can always contact us to get a full demo of the system.

Our value proposition for the RawVoice generator is a very simple one. It works. It’s built for podcasting. And it’s backed up by a great team of passionate and knowledgeable people.

Podcamp Atlanta

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Rob Safuto our Director of Marketing will be at Podcamp Atlanta. If you are a Podcaster and in attendance of Podcamp Atlanta you will want to hook up with Rob, and talk to him about our properties. Ask him about the “Best Deal in Podcasting” he will happy to share the philosophy of our team.

***UPDATE***
The weather has conspired against us folks. My flight out of Newark was called back to the gate after about an hour on the tarmac. We’re locked in a serious winter storm here. All flights were canceled out of Newark today and everything is booked tomorrow. Hence, I will not be at PodCamp Atlanta. I am beyond bummed. Especially since I was bringing down 200 folders for the PodCamp folks to stuff with all kinds of info. I’ll hold onto the folders and we’ll get em next year!
