TechPodcasts.com Achieves 100% Show Sponsorships

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Since the founding of the Tech Podcast Network in late 2004, the network members have always been leaders in the space.  Not only was TechPodcasts.com the very first podcast network they were the first network to secure sponsors for all of its members in 2005.

What started out in 2005 with 13 family safe tech shows with some members earning 2-3 thousand dollars a month has grown to the point today that 100% of network members who wants a sponsor can have one with many earning full time wages on a part time basis.

Today we continue to be proud that TechPodcasts.com is the only Podcast Network that has significant sponsorship opportunities available to 100% of the network members.

Those opportunities have resulted in podcasters at TechPodcasts.com earning 100’s of thousands of dollars since that first deal with the original 13 in 2005.

The team here at RawVoice encourages you to visit TechPodcasts.com and check out the high caliber family safe Tech Podcasts.

Record Podcast Advertising at RawVoice for Quarter 4

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Red-arrow-upThe team at RawVoice has been working like crazy behind the scenes to get ready for the Quarter 4. The Q4 Insertion Orders have been flowing in over the past few days, and while we knew what the spends where going to be, the truth is until you have a signed contract anything can change.

This weekend will be a working the weekend to push these ad buys to the podcasters that we have lined up to be on the buy. We will be using our new state of the art Podcast Advertising Campaign Management System for the first time which will help the process.

There may be a downturn in the US Economy, but in the digital podcast advertising space we are seeing record amounts being spent. We will be moving some of this inventory into third party companies that we have been working with that have their own networks. So overall our employed inventory is reaching levels that we are very excited about.

There has never been a better time to be looking to earn revenue from one’s podcast than at this very juncture. Shows not on one of our family of sites should reach out to us to find out how you can get on an ad buy with us. ceo@rawvoice.com

RawVoice Sponsors Podcamp Pittsburgh

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

PodcamppitsRawVoice and our Premier Podcast Community Blubrry.com is proud to be a sponsor of Podcamp Pittsburgh. Like all Podcamps we sponsor we will have team members from RawVoice their to talk to podcasters about the podcasting space.

For Podcamp Pittsburgh we would like to put out a little challenge. One of RawVoice competitors has it’s Head Quartered in Pittsburgh, and we would hope that they would step up to the plate and throw their support in for Podcamp Pittsburgh after all it is happening in their back yard.

RawVoice is proud to have our family of podcasting communities and directories be sponsors of a number of Podcamps around the country. We understand the value of these events and want to help support the education and growth of the new media space.

This year RawVoice has sponsored the following Podcamp events, all of which we have had members from the RawVoice team in attendance.

  • Podcamp Philly
  • Podcamp Montreal
  • Podcamp Boson
  • Podcamp Ohio
  • Podcamp NYC
  • Podcamp Toronto

Another Podcamp yet this year that will be sponsoring is Podcamp Hawaii which is shaping up to be a world class event. It is a combined WordCamp event that will have some of the top personalities in both spaces speaking.

Podcast Media Delivery may get Cheaper!

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

One thing we are looking at on a day to day basis here at RawVoice, is the amount of bandwidth we are using. We move a massive amount of data each day for those that are podcasting on our hosting services.

Few Podcasters understand the true cost of bandwidth, and those shows with large audiences need to thank the shows with the small audiences! Because without those smaller shows their is no way that the podcast with large audiences would be getting the unlimited bandwidth options being offered by several podcast hosting providers today.

While many would argue that a show with 100k listeners should be paying more than a show with 1000 listeners, in the current marketplace of podcast hosting both are often paying the same exact price for service. Thus Podcast Hosting providers are all hoping they have more smaller shows than big shows to stay profitable. It is a delicate balancing act.

Well hope may be in site to allow companies to get CDN download performance with competitive bandwidth pricing. Amazon has announced that they will be introducing a CDN (Content Delivery Network) before the end of the year, and it will be pay as you play.

The current CDN marketplace dictates multiple year contracts, and the per gig charge is dependent on how much media you can guarantee to move. If Amazon does as promised then the extortionist like Limelight and Akamai who penalize smaller companies that do not move as much data, may have to change the way they do business..

Our CDN management was smart, they worked with us and we were able to secure great pricing, they knew over time we would grow traffic and we have. While I am not about to move away from my current CDN as they have been a true partner.  If Amazon comes out with highly competitive pricing I may have to step back and take a look at what they offer and go back to them a see if we can get a better rate.

Kudos to Amazon for shaking up the CDN Market it’s about time!
