Psst, can you keep a secret? No? Excellent because we want to shout out to the world that in 126 short days the TechPodcasts Network team will not only be in the thick of the masses covering all the great gear at the Consumer Electronics Show, we’ll also have a live broadcast booth on site! The opportunities this offers our consumers and advertisers are boundless!

Millions of consumers have followed the Tech Podcasts Network coverage of the Consumer Electronics Show the past five years because we feature real tech personalities in the thick of the event – jostling among the crowds – seeking extraordinary, innovative and unusual products. New this year we will stream more than 35 hours of coverage of the show from a prime location overlooking the show! TPN is a centrally located media community that provides the latest technology information.

What this means for you: The past four years, TPN has produced more than 600 CES on-floor video interviews, reaching and average of 12 million unique viewers each year. If you’re a consumer, we’ll keep it live as we sort through all the rest to find you the very best. If you’re an advertiser, you can reach tech savvy consumers both throughout the course of the show and after the show through web / new media distribution of the content with your message . . . even if your company is not exhibiting at CES 2011.

Look what we’ve done: In 2010 by invitation of NBC Universal we produced two live streaming events on their main stage. During those one-hour events we interviewed 10 separate companies and had a live active audience of more than 10,000 viewers. See the recorded coverage here http://bit.ly/nbcuni1 , http://bit.ly/nbcunib.

So get ready to be exposed! If you’re a consumer, hold tight. These next four months will fly by. If you’re an advertiser who wants to know more, give RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane a holler (or an email) at 808-741-4923 or ceo@rawvoice.com.

Um, yeah, OK we are hoping you’ll do our work for us. But we’re guessing you won’t mind. Fact is you can do it better than we can and a little face time is going to be a good thing for you and your podcast. The team at RawVoice is looking to you for video testimonials on our products and services to post on our website.

These video testimonials will reach advertisers, podcasters and corporate clients so keep that in mind when you’re putting them together. Duh, videos that are simply promotions for your show won’t make the cut.

Topics for the testimonials include:

Podcast Advertising: tell the world what it has done for your show and how your listeners have reacted to the spots.

Podcast Statistics: tell our audience – and yours – what you like best about the stats and any insights the service has given you about your audience.

Podcast Hosting: reveal your innermost feelings about our hosting and the tools available to each client.

PowerPress: so, what you like about it? Let the masses know how it has improved your show production.

Portal Clients: the viewers anxiously await your insights on how the portal has helped your company and how you are using it.

Guidelines:

2-3 minutes max

We’d like to be able to download the raw footage to edit in-house so we can put in titles and make sure it’s in the proper format. If you want to do all that yourself that’s fine, but please provide us a high quality master to work from.

Questions can be directed to creative@rawoice.com

Thanks in advance for doing our work for us. We knew you wouldn’t mind.;)

We get dozens of e-mails each day from podcasters asking how they can participate in our podcast advertising deals. The process is very simple:

Sign your show up at Blubrry.com

Fill out the advertising survey to tell us about your show

Doing this gets your show into the Podcast Advertising Management System, which is where we build all podcast advertising campaigns.

As an added bonus you can start using our statistics service immediately. That way, as we are putting together a buy, we know exactly what your show is capable of delivering. While we never share your show data with advertisers without your permission, your show and others will be promoted during an advertising campaign.

The advertising survey data provides us the info we need to help you find a sponsor. Podcasters should update the advertising survey every 90 days to keep us up to date on what your show is doing.

Pretty simple isn’t it? We look forward to working with your show!

Business Update:

In first five months of 2009 RawVoice remains profitable and is having a record breaking year in its various business units. We continue to invest heavily in ongoing development of all our podcast and new media platforms.

Our financial outlook 2009 is highly positive and our burn rate continues to be lower than our month to month revenues.

RawVoice has increased it’s staffing by more than 50% since the beginning of the year in order to keep up with growing demand for our services.

Our Podcast Advertising division is delivering millions of CPM- and CPA-based ads each month to millions of listeners across a significant number of podcast properties for our various vendors.

RawVoice now also provides a number of the major podcast networks the high majority of their advertising revenue. This has further expanded our available advertising inventory that carries no overhead for RawVoice.

We are investing in the future by pressing forward with numerous new projects that we will be bringing to the market over the next 6 months that will further our dominance in not only the podcast advertising space but also in new media.

You need to really explore all of your options before you go and sign a exclusive or semi-exclusive deal with a podcasting company.

There are alternatives that don’t lock you, your content, and your earning potential into one company. Here at RawVoice we never require podcasters to sign any form of contract that limits there creativity or where one can go to find sponsorship dollars for ones show.

When you are a member of our community you have the ability to participate in ad deals that you so choose to participate in. You always have the right of refusal. We are also are very generous in that the financial benefits are such that you get 70% of the dollars in every deal.

We have podcasters today that have been in ad deals for the past 4 years earning substantial incomes. These deals range from CPM Ad deals that have paid as high as $52.00 per 1000 downloads. We also have CPA buys that outright beat payment rates offered by our competitors in some cases as much as 5X times greater.

Do not be swayed into signing a contract that is going to limit the ability of your show to grow and prosper. The immediate money may look enticing but talk to those in the space that are no longer under these exclusive contracts, and you may sit back and re-consider what you are about to sign.

Effective today across all of our podcast community sites get access to our Basic Podcast Statistics service by just being a community member.

We realized that in these tough economic times, that while many podcasters want to monetize there podcast, a segment of shows are not ready for advertising, but need the reliable accurate podcast statistics data to continue to build their shows that we provide. This was a large factor in us removing the pre-condition for podcasters to fill out a podcast ad survey to get access to the stats service.

Podcasters that continue want to monetize their shows need to continue to update their ad surveys every 90 days so we have up to date information on their podcasts when promoting shows to media buyers.

With a large majority of our community members using the Basic Podcast Statistics service it only made good business sense to do this. For those not familiar with our Basic Podcast Statistics here are some of the data sets we provide.

Late in 2004 when another podcaster and I came up with the concept of the Tech Podcast Network little did I realize at the time that the ongoing business generated from that property would lead us to developing a new revenue stream that not only profits RawVoice but also profits new partners.

In late 2008 the RawVoice team decided to start seeking out leaders in the new media space in specific categories, to forge a new business partnerships. The first partnership we forged was with a long time supporter of RawVoice and a leader in the medical podcast space.

That relationship resulted in the development of the Pro Med Network under the management of Jaime Davis, while the details of the partnership are confidential Jaime’s company and RawVoice worked very hard to come up with a framework that benefits each company.

By allowing Jaime to focus on building a network, and RawVoice providing the supporting infrastructure and admin support. Jaime was able to secure a a sponsor that is advertising on the family of shows on the network from it’s launch bringing immediate value to those that are part of the network.

While Jaime’s network has just launched it re-validates a model that we know works. Thus we are seeking a limited number of category leaders to work with in building additional verticals podcast networks.

Are you a category leader? Are you serious about building a vertical contact us today

Hey, yeah, we heard. The online video and audio network Podango might be done before the end of this year. The loss of Podango’s services and innovative capabilities are a real blow to our tight-knit new media community and the team at RawVoice honors the accomplishments and commitment of Podango since it’s inception in 2006.

Podango President Douglas Smith has encouraged podcasters to immediately seek new hosting services to ensure they are not negatively impacted by the loss of Podango. We at RawVoice respect that immensely and have tools in place to automate the transfer process should you choose to try out our online video and audio network, Blubrry.

Actually, we’ve made it not only easy, but free. In addition to offering Podango podcasters an automated process to transfer files from Podango to the Blubrry network, the RawVoice team is giving Podango podcasters 30 days of free hosting. This will give you time to continue your show while you consider you hosting options. You are under no obligation to continue hosting with Blubrry: during the 30 day period you can move your shows to another provider at any time. Sure, we hope you’ll continue hosting with Blubrry, but the immediate need is to keep your podcasts online, uninterrupted.

Here are the instructions to move your show and your files to the Blubrry network

Updated: 12–30–08 1800 EST

Update: Podango RSS feeds have become unstable we are now not recommending people move to feedburner in lieu. YOU need to save your RSS feed to your Hard Drive if you can get it to load as your time is running out!

1st Create an account on blubrry, if you have not done so yet.

2nd Add your podcast to Blubrry by submitting your feed on our addpodcast page: www.blubrry.com/addpodcast.php Note: You are not purchasing hosting yet, please ignore the message at the top of the screen.

3rd Once your podcast is submitted and all of your posts have been imported, go to the manage account page by clicking the ‘manage account’ link found at the top right corner. Navigate to the ‘Content’ page and then click the link titled “Free Hosting for 30 days”. Fill out the form, select the plan you would like after your 30 day trial is over, and then click ‘Sign Up’.

4th From there on out the migration takes place give us a couple of hours to move the media.

5th (Optional) You can even (recommended) setup a personal domain that will point to your custom home page. This will allow your show to reside at yourdomain.com

Podango Podcasters, while we are sad to have to see Podango in trouble we have tried to make this switch as painless as possible! Circumstances require you do the minimum of Steps 1–3 immediately to ensure no mater where you host your media that those firs three steps will help salvage your audiences numbers.

About RawVoice: RawVoice is the parent company behind Blubrry.com and we offer a wide variety of tools to help you grow your show. We are a financially profitable company not under any financial stress. As a hosting and publishing customer our service will grow with you and our world class podcast statistics paints a clear picture on where your show is headed.

The RawVoice team is made up of Podcasters and we understand the challenges you are facing in this stressful time. You are under no obligation to host with us beyond the 30 days we are offering free but we wanted to give all of you an immediate option to getting your shows moved. We look forward to your feedback

Tips:

Provide a contact email for fans to email you on what is happening.

Explain in great detail in Step 2 what is happening. It is critical that you do Steps 1–2 today to get the most exposure to your audience that may be checking up on you before Podango closes shop.

If Podango does not have all of your past episodes in the RSS feed ask them to unlock the limitation they have set on the feed.

While other companies are laying people off in lieu of bad economic times. The balance sheets at RawVoice remain in the Black, and we are meeting our corporate goals.

While we are watching the marketplace very closely, and will adjust as needed we remain positive that the the current economic issues will have minimal effect on our bottom line. We have operated in a lean and mean mode for a long time so while other companies will suffer significantly we are in great shape.

We also understand that companies will be spending advertising dollars wisely and we know we are in a great position to be able to reach their targeted audiences with our 3000+ podcasters and millions of listeners they reach each month.

RawVoice is proud to be one of the corporate sponsors of the 2008 People’s Choice Podcast Awards. This is a great event that allows podcasters to get some exposure and have their show nominated by their audience members.

The 2008 event has changed a little bit in that the awards ceremony is going to be virtual and I know Todd has been planning how to execute that for a couple of months now.

Also their is change to the way the prizes and awards are being sponsored this year in that podcasters can become a sponsor and get some exposure on the main website of PodcastAwards.com

The team here at RawVoice goal is to give back to the podcasting community as much as possible. After all we would not be able to do what we do without the support and alignment of nearly 3200 podcasters that work directly with us.

Special Announcement:

Today RawVoice is proud to to announce our latest release customizable home pages for our Podcast Publishing and Hosting Customers at Blubrry.com.

This is one of many enhancements we are rolling out for on our platform that makes the RawVoice Generator the back-end that drives our properties and those of our customers the most powerful new media platform in the space

The custom Home Page feature is a real sweet. If you visit www.brrycast.com this is an example of a custom homepage in action. Powered 100% by Blubrry on our Publishing and Hosting service. You will see that the custom homepage looks like a regular weblog, and it has all the standard features you have come to expect from. We have 7 really cool templates designed by Brian our creative director to choose from, and if you don’t like our templates you can build your own just by picking your colors no coding knowledge required.

You can add your own HTML snippets to the sidebar for advertising, blog roll or anything else you would want to put in there. We even allow you to add your Google Analytics code on the site, so not only do you can have a full picture of web traffic with Google Analytics you also track your Podcast Statistics with Premium Statistics that is included in every hosting package.

No other podcast hosting company is offering more cool features than we are, we encourage you to consider moving your shows to our platform. We have three developers working on options that are going to do nothing but help you grow your show. We will be releasing new features almost weekly!

If you don’t have a domain name we will be opening our own domain store after NME but you can go over to GoDaddy.com and pick up a domain today to use on your custom homepage. Until you get your own domain name you can still use the custom homepage we create by default, as an example the Brrycast Home page is also located at brrycast.blubrry.com

If you are not hosting with us, and would like your own custom page on blubrry to promote your show let us know we are weighing the options on this now.

RawVoice is proud to have the most powerful media publishing platform in the new media space.

Over the past three years the RawVoice team has worked diligently on our Podcast Generator platform. We have had the typical challenges of any start up. But one thing has remained from the beginning we have always had the goal of building some of the best new media tools and services in the space.

To date RawVoice remains a independent company that has never taken venture funding by choice. We are probably the only new media company today in the space that is financially in the black.

We have built this company with the vast majority of the team having full time jobs and split between New York and Hawaii we have remained steadfast in our goals.

Thus I am very proud to say we will be releasing a series of new services over the next 48 hours that we feel set the bar very high. We will have a lot to share at the New Media Expo. But most importantly we are bringing tools to the table that podcasters have been begging us to bring to the market for a long time.

Stay Tuned More Announcements Later Today!

For the first time we have had to take drastic action and actually change the way we operate due to a epidemic of shows being submitted to one of our communities that was nothing more than PodSpam.

The details are over on the Blubrry blog but in essence we have permanently banned two rss feed generator sites mypodfeed.com and trafficgeyser.net

What is really sad is that their is a right way for all companies to get their message out, and their content heard. Sadly their are those that will prey on individuals ignorance.

Here is a word of advice if a site like trafficgeyser is promising you increased traffic for $97.00 a month I have a bridge in Brooklyn I have a bridge to sell you..

If you really want to learn to how market your site correctly through new media you need to save your money and attend a podcamp or go to the new media expo in Vegas. Do not give these people your hard earned money!

Angelo Mandato RawVoice CIO will be presenting today at AdTech in San Francisco. The panel he is slated to participate in will be the culmination of several months of work on a podcast / new media measurement standards document.

Over the past couple of months Angelo has lead the Measurement committee at the Association for Downloadable Media. The committee as a whole has come up with a measurements standards document that is being announced and revealed to ADM members and the general public today.

In talking with Angelo today we both understand that this is a first step in laying lasting groundwork that will help media buyers understand that their are standards they should be looking for when working with podcast and new media companies.

RawVoice has been in the new media measurement space Since 2005 and developed media measurement standards that our media buyers trust. A majority of the standards that we and other companies in the space follow made it into this first measurement document.

A public commenting period will begin for all of the ADM documents released today. My team is looking forward to reviewing all of the other committee reports and commenting on them as well, as most of the documents being released today are being seen by many ADM members for the first time as well.

The Subscribe Sidebar plugin creates a uniform list of the most common subscribe links with icons to display in a blog’s sidebar. The plugin may be added to the sidebar by either utilizing the dynamic widgets sidebar feature or adding a few lines of code to your theme’s sidebar template. Configurable options include links for RSS 2.0, Atom, Podpress podcast Feed, add to Google Reader/Homepage, add to My Yahoo, add to iTunes, add to Zune and follow on Twitter.

The plugin was inspired by our Subscribe & Share sidebar found in the RawVoice Generator‘s program pages. RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane wanted the same easy to find and recongize functionality of the subscribe links found on our Blubrry, TechPodcasts and PodcasterNews properties for our WordPress blogs. My (Angelo’s) answer, the Subscribe Sidebar plugin.

Unlike our Subscribe & Share list found in the RawVoice Generator, the Subscribe Sidebar plugin does not contain any share links. If you are looking for a WordPress plugin that includes this functionality, please check out Alex King’s Share This plugin.

Please let us know if you have any code improvements, suggestions, comments or thoughts.

We have released a white paper on RawVoice Statistics, the information provided will give both media creators and media buyers the information they need to make informed decisions on media statistics validity in relation to RawVoice and others in the space. RawVoice Statistics White Paper

I want you to pay very close attention to the graph. The increase in Zune listeners in the first 2 weeks of 2008 tells me several things that people need to be aware of that are publishing podcasts at this time.

In the first two weeks of 2008 the number of people consuming my personal podcast with the Zune is WAY up. Over all my show download numbers are up about 15%. This is the largest growth my show has seen in a very long time.

What this proves is that when you put Podcast front and center in the Zune Interface like the Zune team has, and make it a integral part of the Zune MarketPlace people are bound to check podcast out.

Where Apple has largely failed in iTunes is that they have made podcast hard to find and a buried feature within the iTunes Interface. Today it is nearly impossible to find content that is fresh, the iTunes podcast interface is a wasteland of thousands of podfaded shows and huge numbers of single podcast episodes put up by network marketer’s.

The iTunes interface makes it virtually impossible for listeners to find shows that are not featured on the front page.

The Zune Marketplace growth is amazing. These are new listeners as I am retaining the iTunes portion of the Audience and picking up huge numbers of new Zune listeners.

iTunes 38.7%

Zune MarketPlace 21.3%

Juice 12.5%

Firefox 4.7%

Internet Explorer 4.1%

Nokia 3.0%

Zencast 1.2%

myPodder 1.2%

If this is any indication of things to come it could be very well that the majority of my podcast audience will originate from the Zune Marketplace in several months

RawVoice is proud to announce the new site design for PodcasterNews.com. PCN was RawVoice’s very first site that we launched in 2005 and has had significant success in being a primary point of presence for a number of podcasts that are all short format content.

With this update a whole new site design has been implemented including a new publishing and site management system which will allow our podcasters to publish Video along with Audio. We also are now featuring new content on the front page in a unique way that allows all podcasters to get equal exposure to listeners.

The new design really brings out the fact that the content being created on the network is truly a team effort and that ever content creators content is treated as a integral part of the overall network.

With this roll out we have introduced our new stream lined Podcast Publishing system which allows podcasters the ability to essentially have a full blown multi-media publishing system as media creators can now Blog, Publish Audio or Video all within a very streamlined interface that we feel is quite evolutionary

The RawVoice generator is the first comprehensive media publishing platform that has integrated podcast media publishing and a blogging component that is commercially available to any third party company looking for their own platform.

Be sure to visit PodcasterNews.com and check out the power of the new website in consuming content and if you want a test drive of the new publishing system contact the team here at RawVoice.

This post is primarily for Advertisers that have been asking questions about Podcast Advertising, but should make good reading for all Cross Posted from CEO Todd Cochrane’s Blog

Since June of 2005 when I brought GoDaddy into the Podcast Advertising space they have remained a very loyal advertiser across the entire podcasting space. The same can be said for GotoMeeting and GotoMyPC who have been on-board since about the same time.

It should be noted by those reading this, that these two vendors are fast approaching three years of continuous advertising in podcasting space, more on that in a moment.

While I realize nothing in life is forever, and those companies could change where they are putting their advertising dollars tomorrow. A question companies small and large need to ask themselves is this. What does GoDaddy, GotoMeeting, and GotoMyPC know about the Podcast Advertising space that they don’t, and what would cause these companies to remain heavily invested in the Podcast Advertising space for two plus years?

I am going to share a secret with you, and while I cannot share exact metrics due to client confidentiality here is the secret sauce so pay attention! “Over the Top Return on Investment”

So you say Todd well what is the proof that the ROI is that good? Well I’ll let you think about that for just a milli-second but consider that these two companies have been advertising non-stop for two years in the same shows large and small! How many vendors do you have a two year plus relationship with that is generating ROI that make your Monday morning marketing meetings a joy to report? Better yet what media property have you sponsored for two straight years?

How often do you brief your boss that a class of advertising is out performing all others? Better yet do you have the bragging rights that your campaigns are beating the companies national average?

An important question you need to ask is this, what is the strategy that me and my team at RawVoice have employed that has kept 2 heavy hitters in the space invested and renewing advertising contracts each quarter? To get that answer, we will have to have a private conversation, my contact info is in the side bar of this website. I am available after 8am Hawaiian Standard Time.

While other Podcasting companies historically get a short term advertising deal here and there, almost none keep the advertisers as a long term client! This is another question you will have to ask why? Which should make you ponder how RawVoice is keeping Vendors long term!

I am very proud that a small startup like RawVoice, which has been bootstrapped by a group of motivated entrepreneurs that know the podcasting space has been consistent month to month for over two years earning significant ROI for the vendors we work with.

Now I have a question for you and then some final comments. The question I want to ask those of you in the advertising space is this how come you are sitting on the sidelines, and not jumping on-board and doing Podcasting Advertising deals? I really want to know! Comments or Private Email is welcomed.

Some Take Away Talking Points for you to consider

RawVoice does all the leg work and together we sign a single IO.

We currently have XX Millions of deliverable inventory each month!

We have shows that represent highly diverse and focused content.

Podcasting is the ultimate Audience Engagement medium.

Trust Level between Listener and Producer unparalleled.

Easy to negotiate big or small buys.

Rock solid validated media statistics “RawVoice Statistics”.

Measurable ROI if you follow our Guidelines.

Highly defined audiences you know exactly who is listening.

There are dozen more points I could put on this post, but the most important is this. “Podcast Audience engagement factor is worth it’s weight in gold if not abused by the media creator”.

An effective podcast advertising campaign can be put together in a couple of days with results that can be accurately measured. If you have been sitting on the fence as an advertiser I would encourage you to talk to me and my team and get a understanding of how we put deals together that will result in higher ROI, then you are getting today in other advertising mediums.

The price to play is affordable for most companies and if I can beat your National ROI maybe you to will have something to crow about on your Monday morning staff meetings. Let me put a RFP together for your company today. ceo@rawvoice.com

Today we took the first steps to improve the media delivery of the Podcaster News Network. The primary hosting provider we have used for a couple of years once again had media delivery issues. Since we had already done the needed testing I told our CIO to make the switch.

Recent concerns that the statistics from that media property were being aggregated into that companies press releases also prompted us to make the change.

The media for PCN is now being hosted by CDN Panther Express and cross archived on our own archiving platform. We have spent a lot of time in recent weeks making improvements to the RawVoice Generator giving us the ability now to host on multiple platforms such as Amazon S3 and other CDN services like Panther Express.

The RawVoice Generator which is the only commercially available podcast publishing platform and combined social media site, has nearly three years of continuous development, and is the most powerful new media publishing platform on the net today that supports all of our communities and those of our customers.

The ability to push media to wherever we need it to go on a show by show basis was important because we understand that each shows producers needs are different. While most new amateur media creators do not need the power of a CDN like Panther Express. Some seasoned creators and those with large audiences or even shows that have seen immediate success may need the power of a CDN delivery service.

RawVoice is committed to bringing added value services to those podcasters that we work with and those that host their media on our platform.

Angelo the CIO here at RawVoice was well prepared to make sure that we were ready when the new Zunes were introduced. We wanted to make sure that our podcast stats service was ready to track the Zune MarketPlace Downloads.

Today while I was checking my personal podcast stats. I found that I had obtained an amazing number of downloads from people using the Zune MarketPlace.

One thing is readily apparent. The Big Bold “Podcast” listing on the Zune Menu on the player, and the one click subscription method in the Marketplace is going to really increase the reach of Podcasting.

It may even be more significant than iTunes over time. In the iTunes menu you have to dig and dig to find a Podcast but one thing that the folks at Zune did was make podcasting link and directory as prominent as music, and the podcast content is easy to find.

While the Zune Player is lower in Market share than the iPod by a long stretch, the simple fact that people are going to be able to find podcast easier in the Zune Marketplace is significant.

If you have a Zune Subscribe to my Personal Podcast by clicking here!

Sadly our attempt to communicate with some of you of this notice over the past month has resulted in you not getting notices from us even though we have sent three separate mailings.

If you are using the RawVoice Stats service via one of our communities we want to make you aware of a change to the stats redirect format. The change is a simple one but critical in that we found some media players primarily Windows Media Player, and the Zune Marketplace player do not handle our old redirect format.

Aloha Everyone

I need to send out a quick blast today to all three of our podcast communities. First of all we have seen a surge in the number of podcasters joining the communities thus a hearty welcome to all. We encourage all of you that are new to utilize the resource list at the bottom of this announcement to get more info on the communities and programs we have for you to build your podcast audiences and help monetize your shows.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OUR MEDIA STATS SERVICE

As all of you are aware the Zune Marketplace introduced podcasting support this morning. We had a few emails from users of the Stats system saying that their media was not downloading. If you are a user of our stats system we sent out a notice over two weeks ago indicating a small change in the URL structure of the redirect.

We have also followed up with all users that have not updated their links via private email this morning. But you can find info on the changes in the “Getting Started” drop down on the stats main user page.

Advertising Survey Info

Over the past 3 weeks we have submitted up to 6 proposals to perspective advertisers. All of the proposals are built from data you submit in your advertising surveys. Sadly some shows on our properties are not going to be offered ad deals because they have simply failed to fill out our ad survey. So please go to “your settings” once your logged into BluBrry and get those surveys filled out.

Additionally we will be opening up a new portal for Advertisers to build their own media plans. All shows in the RawVoice communities will have the chance to gain exposure to an advertiser through that system. But only those shows that have completed the ad survey will be in the featured listings. All other shows that have not “completed” the ad survey will be displayed with default data that is in your show profile.

Finders Fee

That’s right we pay a 10% finders fee for a whole year for any deal that you help bring to the table. I have paid multiple thousands of dollars to content creators that have helped us forge new advertising deals.

Regular News

In all honesty I have more to cover than you probably want to read but I hope you will take the time to review this to keep up to date on what we have cooking.

-We have numerous developers working on projects and you are going to see a significant number of new services brought online in the coming weeks.

-Our participation in Podcamp Boston, Podcamp Arizona and BlogWorld Expo was well received and we would like feedback on how we can better serve you in those events.

-Our Affiliate Program is going to have some tweaks put to it as we want to assist those participating in helping them close the deal. Details of this will be coming from Jeff in the coming weeks

-Advertisement Payments we hope to start sending August Payments for GotoMeeting later this week and we also have several months of GoDaddy Payments to send out as well.

-Forum participation we have seen a increase in forum participation and that has been well received, we also have started to see more people use our player on their websites and utilize the JuiceIt widget which is resulting in significant number of plays on shows sites along with shows getting more exposure on the front page. You can find all of these features in the menu system available via “Your Settings”

Finally please subscribe to this blog feeds and the RawVoice blog feed this is where we will keep you up to date on the day to day happenings within your perspective communities.

Thanks for being part of one or more of the RawVoice communities and we hope that your active participation in the community helps your and other shows in the community grow.

Todd…

BlogWorld Expo was a great first blogging and podcasting event. While there were very few podcasters their the interest was still quite high by many bloggers.

One of the things that Leo Laporte said during his Friday very early morning keynote was that Bloggers need to be Podcasting and Podcasters need to be Blogging. In regards to we all have to become essentially distribution channel agnostic.

I am sure the show will continue to grow and we will examine being a exhibitor next year but on thing is certain being in the sessions was very eye opening.

I will have more to say about some of the sessions in regards to podcasting when the audio archives are made available as there are some points that will need to be addressed.

I have a full write up of Day 1 and Day 2 on my personal blog. I hope you will skim the play by play.
