Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 12, 2010

Podcasting industry leader RawVoice has recorded a phenomenal 31 percent increase in revenue for the second quarter of 2010, which ended July 1. The increase reflects new advertising buys on 27 percent more shows within the RawVoice family, including Blubrry and Tech Podcasts Network and other network partners compared to the first quarter.

“Advertisers are confident in us delivering a healthy return on investment,” explains Todd Cochrane, RawVoice CEO and host of Geek News Central. “Advertising with RawVoice enables them to expose their brand to audiences that are consuming media on a variety of devices in the home and on the go.”

Audience growth was fueled by the increased quality and quantity of podcasts available within the RawVoice community — Blubrry.com alone has more than 5,500 shows available for advertising — and expanded media accessibility on multiple platforms. “Our strategy of multi-platform distribution is exposing new audiences to our content creators on venues that accommodate their lifestyle needs,” Cochrane said.

Digital media content technology enables viewers and/or listeners to subscribe to, receive and consume their favorite podcasts how they want, when they want on any number of mediums, including the Internet, over-the-top boxes such as Roku, Apple iOS and Google Android-based smart phones.

“Advertisers are accessing exactly the audience that they want,” Cochrane said. “We are the only advertising medium that can guarantee they are reaching their target audiences.” Viewers and listeners in turn gain exposure to great products and services matched to their needs. The end result is that hosts are able to sustain and grow their shows “ultimately resulting in more ad deals for our content creators,” he said.

The RawVoice Generator network services measure a show’s reach through its media statistics platform, helping creators to monetize their shows and guaranteeing that advertisers reach their delivery and branding goals. “We get direct input from content creators on their audiences and we can cross validate that data with listener and viewer survey data,” Cochrane explained. “Without this trifecta of data, we would not be able to execute such large campaigns effectively.”

As Quarter 3 gets under way, Cochrane is confident the advertising and audience growth will continue to the benefit of media creators. “We are continuing to focus on multi-platform distribution for the shows that are part of the network,” he said. “The show producers are reaching millions of people monthly. We want to continue to take the lead in finding ways to help content creators maintain sustainable incomes for their shows.”

Company to Share Vision for Multiplatform Content Distribution at the NAB Show

LAS VEGAS – NAB Show – April 8, 2010 – RawVoice,a leader in new media distribution, trend tracking and content monetization, announces the availability of the first two customizable, branded distribution apps for media via the Boxee and Roku new media players. RawVoice will demonstrate its multiplatform channel at the 2010 NAB Show April 12-15, booth # SU9506S. The company’s latest move further demonstrates its commitment to enabling the proliferation and consumption of quality, independently produced content anytime, anywhere.

“We’re offering ‘branded distribution’ for content creators on these two devices and more to come this year, providing an all-inclusive pipeline to their content that was not possible before,” said Todd Cochrane, CEO of RawVoice. “Imagine having your own TV channel without the barriers to entry that exist today. We are one stop shop based on how the consumer accesses media.”

RawVoice currently supports more than 5,000 content creators on its family of sites powered by its RawVoice Generator media network platform — TechPodcasts.com, Blubrry.com, TravelCastNetwork.com and ProMedNetwork.com

The popular Roku set top box, and soon to be launched Boxee device is where custom content channels, powered by the RawVoice Generator represent a tremendous opportunity for content owners and publishers to reach an already large and growing audience of new media consumers.

Both Roku and Boxee have created a platform for content delivery to the television over the Internet, leveling the playing field for content owners to reach a burgeoning audience of highly educated, affluent consumers. The Boxee represents more than 100 broadcast and streaming channels with more than 1 million subscribers and counting.

RawVoice’s distribution strategy does not stop here. Through its line of services, RawVoice is a base for media sharing, discovery, publishing, hosting, measurement and monetization for a vast group of content creators and networks. In 2010, the company is focused purely on content distribution via the growing number of alternative content delivery platforms, enabling online media consumers to receive its publishers’ content without having to go exclusively through cable operators, satellite networks or TV affiliates.

RawVoice helps customers leverage this trend by managing and disseminating new media content via the Internet, mobile devices and set-top boxes, taking the lead in multi-platform content delivery.

Not only does RawVoice deliver the content through multiple platforms, it tracks and measures it. The RawVoice media statistics system offers unsurpassed insights into user consumption: tracking audiences, listener-base demographics and geographical data with worldwide mapping – all delivered via web based interfaces, custom reports and daily e-mail summaries.

“The Internet has turned the video world upside down, creating opportunities for content that would never have found distribution through traditional channels,” said Steve Hawley, Principal Analyst for tvstrategies™. “As new Internet video distribution platforms move into the mainstream, it’s important that publishers not only have tools to extend their presence, but also be able to measure their effectiveness.”

LAS VEGAS – NAB Show – March 30, 2010 – RawVoice, a leader in new media distribution, trend tracking and content monetization, announces the first demonstration of its RawVoice Generator at the 2010 NAB Show April 12-15, booth # SU9506S.
If you have a Yahoo, AOL/AIM, WordPress, LiveJournal or myOpenID account, you can sign into the PodcastFAQ.com forums today with as little as 1-click.

Microsoft, Google and other large companies have announced plans to support OpenID in the near future. RawVoice sees this as an opportunity to empower our users with the login method they feel most comfortable with, allowing RawVoice to step back from user account management to focus on its core products and services.

If you have not experienced logging into a web site using OpenID, we would like to invite you to the PodcastFAQ.com forums and give it a try.

Today’s Wall Street Journal contains an article on the front page of their Journal Report section titled, “How To Be A Star In A YouTube World.”

The article focuses on what it takes to stand out at a time when social media has become so prevalent. Our own CEO Todd Cochrane was interviewed for the piece and they’ve included Todd’s opinion on one of the traits necessary for success as an independent media producer.

“Shows that are consistent have a tendency to grow more than those that aren’t,” says Todd Cochrane, a podcaster and founder of RawVoice Inc., which builds podcasting sites for individuals and companies.

Consistency is definitely very important in building and keeping an audience. Independent media producers need to be consistent in their content as well as their production schedule in order to build a steady following.

Also quoted in the article is Mignon Fogarty, whose Grammar Girl podcast is a member of our Blubrry community.

“Grammar Girl,” a popular podcast about proper language usage, gets an update every Thursday like clockwork. That regular schedule is crucial to the podcast’s creator, Mignon Fogarty. “When the shows I listen to don’t come out, I get very frustrated,” she says.

Once again we agree. If podcasters are looking to build a solid brand around their shows then they need to keep the audience in mind. Of course, finding the right balance for a publishing schedule is really a show to show thing.

We’re not pushing any hard and fast rules here, but we do recommend that you tune in to your audience to make sure that their expectations on the timing of your shows are set properly.
