RawVoice Generator Feature List

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Over the past several weeks I have been getting asked a lot more questions about the RawVoice Generator. For those that don’t know the RawVoice Generator is a the engine that drives all of our podcast communities.

It is also a commercial product that is available to companies and organizations looking to launch their own multi-media site. In reality the Generator is a full blown media and blogging publishing system that has social media components built from the ground up into a very powerful CMS

In the coming weeks I will be showing off the power of the RawVoice Generator and we will be highlighting some of our clients that are utilizing the service to drive their own social media sites. [RawVoice Generator Features]

Subscribe Sidebar WordPress Plugin

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Subscribe Sidebar Wordress PluginRawVoice is pleased to announce the Subscribe Sidebar WordPress plugin.

The Subscribe Sidebar plugin creates a uniform list of the most common subscribe links with icons to display in a blog’s sidebar. The plugin may be added to the sidebar by either utilizing the dynamic widgets sidebar feature or adding a few lines of code to your theme’s sidebar template. Configurable options include links for RSS 2.0, Atom, Podpress podcast Feed, add to Google Reader/Homepage, add to My Yahoo, add to iTunes, add to Zune and follow on Twitter.

The plugin was inspired by our Subscribe & Share sidebar found in the RawVoice Generator‘s program pages. RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane wanted the same easy to find and recongize functionality of the subscribe links found on our Blubrry, TechPodcasts and PodcasterNews properties for our WordPress blogs. My (Angelo’s) answer, the Subscribe Sidebar plugin.

Unlike our Subscribe & Share list found in the RawVoice Generator, the Subscribe Sidebar plugin does not contain any share links. If you are looking for a WordPress plugin that includes this functionality, please check out Alex King’s Share This plugin.

Please let us know if you have any code improvements, suggestions, comments or thoughts.

RawVoice Generator Demo

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

We call the tool that powers our communities (Blubrry, Podcaster News, Tech Podcast Network and Podcast Promos) the RawVoice Generator.

The RawVoice Generator (RVG) is built from the ground up to support the creation of a podcasting network. The system supports iTunes RSS and pinging right out of the box. The RVG can also auto-generate ID3 tag info and file names so content publishers don’t need to do these things by hand every time they publish a show.

The RVG is available for license to organizations looking to build a podcast network or media based community without having to start coding from scratch. Feel free to contact us if you want to talk or see a more in depth demo of the system.

RawVoice Acquires TechPodcasts Network

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

New York, NY 3/29/2007 1:23 PM GMT

RawVoice has acquired the TechPodcasts Network, company officials announced today. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The TechPodcasts Network was founded in January 2005 and quickly became a popular niche community for technical-oriented podcasts. The Network features Slashdot Review, the Mike Tech Show, and other podcasts covering topics from programming in Linux to LCD monitor repair. The Tech Podcast Round Table, the Network’s showcase podcast, reaches over 30,000 viewers a month.

“This acquisition enhances what was already a strong connection,” said Jeevan Padiyar, CFO of RawVoice. “With the added features of RawVoice Generator, we’ll be able to do even more for the podcasters in the Network, and their listeners.”

The TechPodcast Network site is at www.techpodcasts.com.

The new site will launch today, with a new look and new features like social networking, show comments, and MyCast custom rss playlists. These functions are powered by the RawVoice Generator engine which also operates the PodcasterNews Network, PodcastPromos, and the Blubrry community.
All are RawVoice properties.
