RawVoice, the leader in podcast analytics, announces the first in a series of global podcast statistics reports measured across more than 15,000 podcasts hosted on a variety of podcasting platforms.

“RawVoice has been diligent in working toward establishing itself as the No. 1 source for global podcasting data,” RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane said. “No one in the industry has more direct measured data.”

RawVoice analytics are based on actual — not interpolated — information, giving content creators and media buyers the most accurate picture of who is consuming their content as well as how it’s being consumed.

Over the past 90 days, RawVoice Podcast analytics has recorded the following trends in clients consuming podcast media. This was a sampling of 69.7 million audience listens/views across 17 genres.

Desktop applications, such as iTunes, 36.7%

Smartphones and mobile devices, such as iPhone, iPod and Android, 30.3%

Web browsers, 18.3%

Tablets such as the iPad and Nexus 7, 8.8%

Mobile applications, 3.2%

Smart TV / OTT set-top boxes, 2.7%

Percentage of consumption by client:

iTunes (desktop applications), 27.4%

iPhone (smartphones), 22.8%

iPad (tablets), 8.7%

Android (smartphones), 7.1%

Firefox (Web browsers), 4.8%

Google Chrome (Web browsers), 4.1%

Internet Explorer (Web browsers), 1%

All others (100+ other clients), 24.1%

Percentages by platform:

Windows, 35%

iOS (iPhone and iPad), 30.9%

Mac OS, 16.5%

Android, 7.7%

Linux, 2.5%

Other, 7.4%

“Podcasts are being listened to and watched on all devices today and trends are evolving; it’s imperative for podcasters and our media buyers to stay abreast of the most effective means to reach new media audiences,” Cochrane said. “Because of the growing popularity of mobile devices, our data indicates that if you want to reach mobile consumers, you should advertise on podcasts.”

RawVoice keeps close watch on trends in the space. “For instance, the fastest growing podcast mobile application has been “Downcast” a mobile application for Android,” Cochrane said. “Downcast currently is the No. 1 podcasting application outside of Apple’s mobile podcast and iTunes apps.”

Since 2005 RawVoice has been measuring Podcast statistics for media buys and buyers to include some of the biggest podcast networks in the space. RawVoice, parent company of Blubrry.com and TechPodcasts.com, has unparalleled insight into how podcast media is being consumed. For more information, contact Cochrane at ceo@rawvoice.com.

Amazon AWS has suffered a significant outage today. Many of our core services are hosted on Amazon infrastructure. One of the tenants of our service offerings was that we wanted to insure that our media redirect service which collects stats data, and our media hosting business would always stay online in case of an outage like today.

Today the planning we put in place years ago paid off, and critical never fail service switched into fail over mode. Our backup media statistic redirect server took over just a few minutes after the primary one went offline. Our primary CDN had no issues and hosted media continued to be served without the need to fail over to our secondary CDN.

Recent lockout of Podcasters accounts on Mevio should be once again a wake-up call for content creators to not have their valuable media properties locked into a system someone else owns. This is the third or fourth time in a couple of years “free” sites figured out there is not a business model in “free.”

We have some simple advice that will ensure you are never locked out. You’re building your media empire, have some pride!

Buy your own .com; build your brand not someone else’s

Get a web hosting account and install WordPress

Install PowerPress Podcasting Plugin

Buy a nice template, or pay someone to make you one to fit your show and brand

Purchase Media Hosting with Statistics from Blubrry.com (always keep a backup)

Most Importantly, always control your rss feed. It is a very valuable asset.

Then and only then list your show on sites such as Blubrry.com Don’t let a companies changing priorities leave you and your audience hanging.

Sure, there are some things you’d like to take slow, such as a vacation on the beach, a romantic dinner (if you’re into that sappy stuff) and fishing. But mostly, when you want something, you want it now, fast, pronto, not even ASAP because that means ‘as soon as possible,’ which would imply a wait and that won’t cut it. Well, good news in the digital media world as RawVoice recently moved its communities to a series of servers that are FIVE times more powerful, letting our family of content creators get in, get the data they need on the spot with up-to-the-sec stats for our premium stats customers. Plus, our audiences now have access their fav shows in less than a heartbeat on the Internet, mobile devices, set-top boxes, etc., etc., etc.

RawVoice is the parent company that represents about 10,000 online digital media shows on communities such as Blubrry, TechPodcasts Network, TravelCast Network and more. That’s a lotta fast access to a lotta kick-as media.

The big thing is, the infrastructure has changed dramatically and it will allow us to add new features throughout the coming months. What kind of features, you ask? Here are just a few:

1. Teleportation: C’mon, admit it, you’ve always wanted to say “Beam me up Scotty!”
2. Hair growth: Judging by the mug shots in Twitter, about one quarter of you all will benefit from this feature!
3. Brain chipping: Why wait for the latest shows to download on your mobile devices? Have them implanted directly into your brain to enjoy quietly and discreetly during staff meetings and funerals!

OK, that might be a ways down the road, but what we do have coming up will rock your socks off, so stay tuned! We’ll have more feature updates comin’ at ya soon! In the meantime, celebrate your need, your need for speed bein’ fulfilled, but fast!

Life is demanding and, hey, we think that’s great! RawVoice has precisely what it takes to help content creators meet their audiences’ demands. RawVoice, a pioneer and leader in the digital media industry, will introduce a media-on-demand service at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas April 9-14! We wanted to give you the heads up, like, now.

The media-on-demand (MOD/VOD) service will allow content creators, independent film artists, bands, educators and all others who create content to sell their premium content online and through over-the-top (OTT) television. This will give consumers a centralized location to find premium content that is not available through traditional video-on-demand channels. RawVoice MyCast® system will allow consumers to organize and play back on demand all of their purchased media on almost any device at any time.

This service will be introduced through a new channel on the Roku initially, and on its own media portal. Clients will be able to sell their media on a subscription or single play basis. With Roku integration, single click purchases of media will offer the same convenience of standard video on demand service that consumers are accustomed to.

Going to be at NAB? Come find us in the Destination Broadband Pavilion, Booth SU9502F2. The floor hours are:

Monday-Wednesday, April 11-13, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, April 14, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

We’ll be demonstrating the media-on-demand service at NAB and will sign content creators on site. If you can’t make it to NAB, that’s OK. Contact us today if you want to be part of the launch, and we will put you on the list. We’ll have full roll-out of the service in the weeks following the show.

Go ahead! Demand it! At RawVoice, we’re consistently exploring and evolving to meet your ever-changing demands.

As traditional media grapples to reinvent itself and retain readers and viewers, new media such as the video and audio podcasts on the RawVoice communities Blubrry, Pro Med Network and Tech Podcasts Network are expanding their reach and their audiences.

A Harris Poll published Oct. 28, 2010, found that traditional print and broadcast media are waning in popularity, with more than half adults online predicting its demise within 10 years. While viewers and listeners might not have abandoned print media or network television completely, Americans are turning to the Internet and other media to get their news.

The poll found that of Americans who use the Internet to look for news:

46 percent say they go to local television news all the time.

35 percent say they go to local newspapers.

31 percent turn to network television news.

42 percent of online adults say they never go to national newspapers such as the New York Times or weekly news magazines when they are looking for news.

Although cable television currently stands as the desired means of receiving entertainment, it too stands to lose viewers with the introduction of digital media to over-the-top (OTT) television boxes such as Roku. These OTTs allow audiences to hear and view media by thousands of content creators such as those in the RawVoice communities.

The audience response to these new media platforms has been remarkable. “I would have been happy with 25,000 additional views among the community in the first month after introducing our networks shows on the Roku box,” RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane says. “It was more like 250,000.”

With the introduction of Vudu apps and others, the reach of digital media will continue to expand. Because consumers are creating these new consumption trends, advertisers should follow suit. “It only stands to reason that if the audience is turning to digital media to receive its news and entertainment, that’s where the advertisers should be as well,” Todd explains.

Unlike typical news outlets, the majority of media creators consistently focus on specific topics, such as emergency medicine, GLBT issues, politics, etc. This draws audiences uniquely interested in these areas. “Because of this, advertisers can be assured they are reaching their target audience,” Cochrane stresses.

TPN coverage of CES provides the latest technology information, featuring real tech personalities in the thick of the event, jostling among the crowds, seeking extraordinary, innovative and unusual products.

Consumers eager to see what new tech toys and trends set the pace in 2011 will follow TPN’s coverage of CES, returning for authentic insight into products and tech trends that they have come to trust and depend upon since 2005.

Video Track Record: The past four years, TPN has produced more than 600 CES on-floor video interviews, reaching an average of 12 million unique viewers each year.

Live Streaming Success in 2010: In 2010 we were invited by NBC Universal to produce two live streaming events on their main stage. During those one-hour events we interviewed 10 separate companies and had a live active audience of more than 10,000 viewers. See the recorded coverage here http://bit.ly/nbcuni1 , http://bit.ly/nbcunib.

What’s New for CES 2011: Tech Podcast Network will have a live broadcast booth in the heart of the exhibit hall, where we will stream more than 35 hours of coverage of the show.

Even More Exciting TPN News for CES 2011

Set-Top Box Media Distribution: Since early 2010, Techpodcasts.com has been listed as a top tier channel on the Roku set-top box. We have similar placement on Boxee’s directory and are creating apps for other platforms such as VuDu and Samsung. Next up? Google TV.

Exposure Potential: In January 2011 TPN will launch a dedicated TPN-CES channel on each platform (Roku, Boxee and others) where we will release CES 2011 coverage segments during and after the show, guaranteeing exposure for vendors and sponsors for a full year.

Even if your company is not exhibiting at CES 2011: This is an opportunity to reach tech savvy consumers throughout the course of the show and ensure web / media distribution of the content with your message following the show.

Added Value: Vendors we interview at CES also help by highlighting the coverage of their segments. Since your sponsor message is embedded in the video, you are guaranteed brand exposure on a variety of corporate sites. Coverage from the 2010 event is still seeing strong view activity nine months later because of the product tagging and SEO strategy we employ on each interview release.

The Show Coverage: TPN coverage includes five video elements – Live Stream, “Pick of the Day,” product interviews and a high interest back channel. Update: We will also be doing several segments from the NBC Universal Live Stage again in 2011 on top of our live broadcast booth content.

Live Stream: TPN will stream live from our broadcast booth, during open show hours interviewing four to six high profile guests each hour, simulcast on multiple TPN partner sites as well as rebroadcast after hours. All live show coverage will be broken into segments and post published on the web, and available as podcasts.

TPN Pick of the Day: (TPOD) Each day, we produce a single 10-15 minute video covering five to seven product or demo highlights. Only the most interesting products of the day are featured. The four 2010 Pick-of-the Day TPOD videos averaged 155,000 views each within 72 hours of release.

Product Videos: (PV) TPN show hosts will also produce on average 120 product interviews from the show floor and at evening “Press Only” events. The product videos are then professionally post-produced and released after the show.

Backchannel Videos: (BC) Backchannel videos show the process we go through to plan and execute during the event. They keep viewers and listeners emotionally engaged in the struggle to cover such a massive event. Backchannel videos highlight the hard work, boredom, excitement, challenge, aggravation, frustration, and exhaustion faced by the team. In 2010 we released nearly 40 hours of unedited back channel content.

How the Sponsorship Plan Works

What it isn’t: This is not an opportunity for a single spot appearance, companies never pay for access to our audiences. All interviews with companies that are covered at the show are independently determined and at the sole discretion of the show hosts.

What it is: This is an opportunity for your company to have your product or service message integrated into our coverage as if you were buying standard radio, broadcast, or new media ad spot. All Sponsor messages will be clearly designated in line with mandated FCC disclosure rules.

It’s simple: You pay a flat rate and get your company’s brand and message integrated into TPN live and recorded content. We agree on message length, talking points and product features to be emphasized throughout the entire week. Banners, text links with hyperlinks and social media exposure are always included in all sponsorship levels.

Distribution: All media, whether streamed live or recorded from show floor, will be published on the web with SEO strategies, and made available for podcast download. All media will also be published into our set-top-box channels on Roku and Boxee, and available for embed on your web site and product pages.

Available Sponsorships

Live Stream: Your company will receive one or two mentions per hour during our live streaming event, either a live host-read spot or a 30-45 second canned commercial. There are four (4) total sponsorship slots available for the live stream with one being designated the bandwidth sponsor.

Product Video: Your company will receive one, 15-30 second ad spot in all of our 2011 CES Show Floor Product Video Interviews. Estimated Exposures will be 12-15 million uniques.

Back Channel: Your company will be the exclusive sponsor of the 2011 back channel coverage at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show. With an estimated 30-40 hours of back channel Coverage.

Bloggers and podcasters, restart your engines! Keep moving ahead or get left behind was the message Todd Cochrane, CEO of RawVoice, shared with about 70 blogging and podcasting enthusiasts Oct. 16 at BlogWorld and New Media Expo. Survival of the fittest, he said, dictates that content creators continue to evolve their media using the The Triple Play: Streaming, Podcasting and Blogging as a Way to Accelerate Your Show’s Growth and Distribution.

In the natural course of things, a content creator might start out simply with a blog . . . and that’s great, Cochrane explained. But the audience growth and monetary potential extends far beyond. Next up? Podcasting. And then? Well, he noted, many podcasters hit a mid-life crisis — sluggish audience growth, if any at all, and audience numbers even dropping off. The cure? Let us see . . .

The past 12 months have seen an evolution in media distribution and growth. By providing video or by streaming shows on television set top boxes such as Roku, Vudu (soon to be found on every television sold by Wal-Mart), Boxee and the soon-to-be-released Google TV, audience numbers have already rocketed.

Um, don't do this! Keep your sites simple.

“Streaming your shows is the gateway to over-the-top TV,” explained Cochrane, host of Geek News Central. Cochrane grew an already large audience by 150 percent in nine months with the “Triple Play.” Cochrane’s growth is common among media producers whose shows are accessible on over-the-top (OTT) boxes. That is, if your show is visual. Among 200 shows seen on Roku during a 90-day period, visual media growth was 23 percent. Audio was only 3 percent. “You need to get intimately familiar with OTT,” he said. When the Blubrry podcasting community was introduced on Roku, Cochrane would have been happy with 25,000 additional views among the community . . . it was more like 250,000. “You’ve got to get busy,” he said. “You have to be on this device.”

A few years back, the notion of citizen media creators being viewed across the glob on television was unfathomable. Not with the big cable companies in control. Now, content accessible on OTT boxes bypasses the need to go through a cable company for distribution. “It’s leveling the playing field with the big boys,” Cochrane stressed. “This is the way we beat the Man. We go over the top.”

Start with blogging, evolve into podcasting, then segue into streaming, he said.

Mandato walks participants through the quick and easy steps.

That transition doesn’t need to be rough.

In fact, in the next BlogWorld and New Media Expo session, RawVoice CIO Angelo Mandato and Creative Director Brian Yuhnke walked bloggers through the process using the PowerPress plugin for WordPress. About 40 people took part, took notes and took home a simple yet spectacular suggestion for moving ahead their media.

In Blogging and Podcasting Sitting in a Tree … Optimizing a WordPress Site for Your Podcast, Mandato and Yuhnke demonstrated the PowerPress plugin for WordPress, a simple means to get audio and video media on your site. The plugin is simple to install, simple to access and makes it simple for your audience to get your cutting-edge shows. And it should be kept simple, they said, noting noisy and overly-busy sites will be a turn off for viewers . . . literally.

To find out more about or view the sessions, go to the BlogWorld website; they’ll be up soon. To find out more about the PowerPress plugin, go to Blubrry.com.

Advances in digital media are being pitched at you at record speed. You’re taking a swing at all the latest in technology and media and getting a few hits. But are you touching all the bases? On Saturday, Oct. 16, at BlogWorld and New Media Expo, RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane will address the whole media package of today and seasons to come in his session The Triple Play: Streaming, Podcasting and Blogging as a Way to Accelerate Your Show’s Growth and Distribution.

The past 12 months have seen an evolution in the blogging, podcasting and streaming media space. In this session Cochrane will lay out a game plan to growing your audience and will talk about the new distribution platforms.

“I will share trade secrets and strategies of podcasting that only my six years of experience behind the mic can impart,” he announced. “I will tie this all together and you will walk away understanding the importance of streaming your shows and how that streaming is the gateway to over-the-top TV.” Cochrane, host of Geek News Central, grew an already large audience by 150 percent in nine months with the Triple Play. In this session, he will map out how content distribution channels such as the Roku, Boxee and the upcoming Google TV are changing new media and what you need to do to score.

“This will be the most important session you will want to attend at the show. I don’t say this lightly because some of the things I will reveal are going to make you re-think your media strategy for the next 36 months.”

The media space is changing at a rapid pace, and The Triple Play: Streaming, Podcasting and Blogging as a Way to Accelerate Your Show’s Growth and Distribution will get you dialed in on where it is headed and show you how to stay on the playing field.

Psst, can you keep a secret? No? Excellent because we want to shout out to the world that in 126 short days the TechPodcasts Network team will not only be in the thick of the masses covering all the great gear at the Consumer Electronics Show, we’ll also have a live broadcast booth on site! The opportunities this offers our consumers and advertisers are boundless!

Millions of consumers have followed the Tech Podcasts Network coverage of the Consumer Electronics Show the past five years because we feature real tech personalities in the thick of the event – jostling among the crowds – seeking extraordinary, innovative and unusual products. New this year we will stream more than 35 hours of coverage of the show from a prime location overlooking the show! TPN is a centrally located media community that provides the latest technology information.

What this means for you: The past four years, TPN has produced more than 600 CES on-floor video interviews, reaching and average of 12 million unique viewers each year. If you’re a consumer, we’ll keep it live as we sort through all the rest to find you the very best. If you’re an advertiser, you can reach tech savvy consumers both throughout the course of the show and after the show through web / new media distribution of the content with your message . . . even if your company is not exhibiting at CES 2011.

Look what we’ve done: In 2010 by invitation of NBC Universal we produced two live streaming events on their main stage. During those one-hour events we interviewed 10 separate companies and had a live active audience of more than 10,000 viewers. See the recorded coverage here http://bit.ly/nbcuni1 , http://bit.ly/nbcunib.

So get ready to be exposed! If you’re a consumer, hold tight. These next four months will fly by. If you’re an advertiser who wants to know more, give RawVoice CEO Todd Cochrane a holler (or an email) at 808-741-4923 or ceo@rawvoice.com.

Posting a 31 percent revenue gain in a single quarter is nearly unheard of, but we’re RawVoice and we’re used to doing things that were previously unheard of! It’s true, we saw nearly a one-third boost in ad revenue our second quarter of 2010, which ended July 1. The increase reflects new advertising buys on 27 percent more shows within our RawVoice family, including Blubrry and Tech Podcasts Network.

Our CEO Todd Cochrane sums it up like this: “Advertisers are confident in us delivering a healthy return on investment. Advertising with RawVoice enables them to expose their brand to audiences that are consuming media on a variety of devices in the home and on the go.”

Audience growth has been and will continue to be fueled by the increased quality and quantity of podcasts available within the RawVoice community — Blubrry.com alone has more than 5,500 shows available for advertising. Also attributed to the growth is our expanded media accessibility on multiple platforms, such as Roku, Apple iOS and Google Android-based smart phones.

“Our strategy of multi-platform distribution is exposing new audiences to our content creators on venues that accommodate their lifestyle needs,” says Cochrane, host of Geek News Central. “We are the only advertising medium that can guarantee they are reaching their target audiences,” Cochrane says.

Viewers and listeners in turn gain exposure to great products and services matched to their needs. The end result is that hosts are able to sustain and grow their shows “ultimately resulting in more ad deals for our content creators,” he said.

As Quarter 3 gets under way, we’re confident the advertising and audience growth will continue to the benefit of media creators.

“We are continuing to focus on multi-platform distribution for the shows that are part of the network,” he said. “The show producers are reaching millions of people monthly we want to continue to take the lead in finding ways to help content creators maintain sustainable incomes for their shows.”

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 12, 2010

Podcasting industry leader RawVoice has recorded a phenomenal 31 percent increase in revenue for the second quarter of 2010, which ended July 1. The increase reflects new advertising buys on 27 percent more shows within the RawVoice family, including Blubrry and Tech Podcasts Network and other network partners compared to the first quarter.

“Advertisers are confident in us delivering a healthy return on investment,” explains Todd Cochrane, RawVoice CEO and host of Geek News Central. “Advertising with RawVoice enables them to expose their brand to audiences that are consuming media on a variety of devices in the home and on the go.”

Audience growth was fueled by the increased quality and quantity of podcasts available within the RawVoice community — Blubrry.com alone has more than 5,500 shows available for advertising — and expanded media accessibility on multiple platforms. “Our strategy of multi-platform distribution is exposing new audiences to our content creators on venues that accommodate their lifestyle needs,” Cochrane said.

Digital media content technology enables viewers and/or listeners to subscribe to, receive and consume their favorite podcasts how they want, when they want on any number of mediums, including the Internet, over-the-top boxes such as Roku, Apple iOS and Google Android-based smart phones.

“Advertisers are accessing exactly the audience that they want,” Cochrane said. “We are the only advertising medium that can guarantee they are reaching their target audiences.” Viewers and listeners in turn gain exposure to great products and services matched to their needs. The end result is that hosts are able to sustain and grow their shows “ultimately resulting in more ad deals for our content creators,” he said.

The RawVoice Generator network services measure a show’s reach through its media statistics platform, helping creators to monetize their shows and guaranteeing that advertisers reach their delivery and branding goals. “We get direct input from content creators on their audiences and we can cross validate that data with listener and viewer survey data,” Cochrane explained. “Without this trifecta of data, we would not be able to execute such large campaigns effectively.”

As Quarter 3 gets under way, Cochrane is confident the advertising and audience growth will continue to the benefit of media creators. “We are continuing to focus on multi-platform distribution for the shows that are part of the network,” he said. “The show producers are reaching millions of people monthly. We want to continue to take the lead in finding ways to help content creators maintain sustainable incomes for their shows.”

About RawVoice Inc.

With Roku, TPN lets technology-based audiences broaden their viewing and/or listening options and helps content owners and publishers reach a large and fast-growing audience of digital media consumers. TPN, a user-driven podcasting community powered by the RawVoice Generator platform, is a centrally located source for the most up-to-date, comprehensive technology information on the Internet. The site currently features 133 shows, the best of which are being made available on Roku.

“TPN answers a critical need by bringing the very latest technological information to thousands of viewers and listeners,” says Todd Cochrane, creator of Geek News Central and CEO of RawVoice Inc. “The ability for featured TPN shows to be accessible through the television via Roku is an important step in the evolution of media consumption.”

The Tech Podcasts Network joins Blubrry, a powerful media community, in letting podcasters be seen and heard on television.

In 2010, RawVoice is focused on content distribution via the growing number of alternative content delivery platforms, allowing online media consumers to receive its publishers’ content without having to go exclusively through cable operators, satellite networks or TV affiliates.

Company to Share Vision for Multiplatform Content Distribution at the NAB Show

LAS VEGAS – NAB Show – April 8, 2010 – RawVoice,a leader in new media distribution, trend tracking and content monetization, announces the availability of the first two customizable, branded distribution apps for media via the Boxee and Roku new media players. RawVoice will demonstrate its multiplatform channel at the 2010 NAB Show April 12-15, booth # SU9506S. The company’s latest move further demonstrates its commitment to enabling the proliferation and consumption of quality, independently produced content anytime, anywhere.

“We’re offering ‘branded distribution’ for content creators on these two devices and more to come this year, providing an all-inclusive pipeline to their content that was not possible before,” said Todd Cochrane, CEO of RawVoice. “Imagine having your own TV channel without the barriers to entry that exist today. We are one stop shop based on how the consumer accesses media.”

RawVoice currently supports more than 5,000 content creators on its family of sites powered by its RawVoice Generator media network platform — TechPodcasts.com, Blubrry.com, TravelCastNetwork.com and ProMedNetwork.com

The popular Roku set top box, and soon to be launched Boxee device is where custom content channels, powered by the RawVoice Generator represent a tremendous opportunity for content owners and publishers to reach an already large and growing audience of new media consumers.

Both Roku and Boxee have created a platform for content delivery to the television over the Internet, leveling the playing field for content owners to reach a burgeoning audience of highly educated, affluent consumers. The Boxee represents more than 100 broadcast and streaming channels with more than 1 million subscribers and counting.

RawVoice’s distribution strategy does not stop here. Through its line of services, RawVoice is a base for media sharing, discovery, publishing, hosting, measurement and monetization for a vast group of content creators and networks. In 2010, the company is focused purely on content distribution via the growing number of alternative content delivery platforms, enabling online media consumers to receive its publishers’ content without having to go exclusively through cable operators, satellite networks or TV affiliates.

RawVoice helps customers leverage this trend by managing and disseminating new media content via the Internet, mobile devices and set-top boxes, taking the lead in multi-platform content delivery.

Not only does RawVoice deliver the content through multiple platforms, it tracks and measures it. The RawVoice media statistics system offers unsurpassed insights into user consumption: tracking audiences, listener-base demographics and geographical data with worldwide mapping – all delivered via web based interfaces, custom reports and daily e-mail summaries.

“The Internet has turned the video world upside down, creating opportunities for content that would never have found distribution through traditional channels,” said Steve Hawley, Principal Analyst for tvstrategies™. “As new Internet video distribution platforms move into the mainstream, it’s important that publishers not only have tools to extend their presence, but also be able to measure their effectiveness.”

LAS VEGAS – NAB Show – March 30, 2010 – RawVoice, a leader in new media distribution, trend tracking and content monetization, announces the first demonstration of its RawVoice Generator at the 2010 NAB Show April 12-15, booth # SU9506S. The RawVoice Generator allows producers and media networks to focus on creating media and building their brands while RawVoice takes care of the mass distribution of their content.

RawVoice has long been a pioneer in podcasting, representing more than 5,000 podcasts on its family of sites powered by its RawVoice Generator media network platform. Through its line of services, RawVoice is a base for media sharing, discovery, publishing, hosting, measurement and monetization for a vast group of content creators and networks.

Today the broadcast industry is generating and looking for new revenue streams through multi-platform content delivery – both web-based and broadcast content, according to the 2010 BBS Global Trend Index.

RawVoice helps customers leverage this trend by managing and disseminating new media content via the Internet, mobile devices and set-top boxes, taking the lead in multi-platform distribution.

To demonstrate the types of powerful statistics the RawVoice Generator gathers, the company surveyed a controlled sampling of more than 3,000 supported shows that have been tracking their new media statistics for the past several years. The following is the percentage change in traffic patterns in February 2009 and the same month 2010.
These video testimonials will reach advertisers, podcasters and corporate clients so keep that in mind when you’re putting them together. Duh, videos that are simply promotions for your show won’t make the cut.

Topics for the testimonials include:

Podcast Advertising: tell the world what it has done for your show and how your listeners have reacted to the spots.

Podcast Statistics: tell our audience – and yours – what you like best about the stats and any insights the service has given you about your audience.

Podcast Hosting: reveal your innermost feelings about our hosting and the tools available to each client.

PowerPress: so, what you like about it? Let the masses know how it has improved your show production.

Portal Clients: the viewers anxiously await your insights on how the portal has helped your company and how you are using it.

Guidelines:

2-3 minutes max

We’d like to be able to download the raw footage to edit in-house so we can put in titles and make sure it’s in the proper format. If you want to do all that yourself that’s fine, but please provide us a high quality master to work from.

Questions can be directed to creative@rawoice.com

Thanks in advance for doing our work for us. We knew you wouldn’t mind.;)

State-by-state statistics, day-by-day trending and mobile media download numbers are three of the many significant upgrades RawVoice now offers our podcast community, and we’re pretty excited about it. RawVoice is proud to announce the release of its Statistics System Version 1.1, offering a number of revolutionary new features.

Take a look at the tools that benefit you:

Reporting by States

One of the most requested features, you can now access state-by-state reporting all across the United States. You can view data by simply hovering over the interactive map.

Trending By Day

Our trending report has been extended to include a 12-month outlook as well as a 30-day report. The new data lets you to see what days of the week draw your largest downloads. Trending data can be accessed simply by hovering over the interactive graph.

Extensive List of Clients

During the summer months we’ve seen a surge in Blackberry and Android download traffic. To reflect this new trend in mobile media downloads, we’re now detecting the BlackBerry podcatching application, PodTrapper, and the Google Android podcatching application, BeyondPod, separately to give you more insight on how your media is being consumed on mobile devices. We also added the new Palm Pre (WebOS) and are now reporting the previous Palm mobile devices as Palm (classic).

Here’s a list of mobile clients and podcatchers currently detected:

Opera Mini

Nokia

iPhone

Windows Mobile

BlackBerry

Android (Google smartphone)

Palm WebOS (Palm Pre)

Palm (classic)

PodTrapper (BlackBerry podcatcher)

BeyondPod (Android podcatcher)

More Sources

In our February 2009 statistics system update, we added a new Overall Distribution to report total web browser, podcatcher and web bot downloads. After auditing our system, we discovered additional valuable data with reporting Mobile Applications (such asBeyondPod for Google Android and PodTrapper for Blackberry) as well the mobile web browsers themselves.

We are now reporting “Plays in Page” for users who use flash-based players on their web sites for in-page media playback. For users using our Blubrry PowerPress WordPress podcasting plugin, this feature has been enhanced to track all in-page plays on your web site.

Performance Improvements

We’ve improved the performance of the statistics system: Users can now update statistics at any time. We have removed the five-plus download minimum requirement for displaying downloads for media files. You’ll now see the media appearing in the reports with one download.

This is great new stuff! And, as I said, we’re pretty excited. Try it out, then take a sec and let us know what you think!

We get dozens of e-mails each day from podcasters asking how they can participate in our podcast advertising deals. The process is very simple:

Sign your show up at Blubrry.com

Fill out the advertising survey to tell us about your show

Doing this gets your show into the Podcast Advertising Management System, which is where we build all podcast advertising campaigns.

As an added bonus you can start using our statistics service immediately. That way, as we are putting together a buy, we know exactly what your show is capable of delivering. While we never share your show data with advertisers without your permission, your show and others will be promoted during an advertising campaign.

The advertising survey data provides us the info we need to help you find a sponsor. Podcasters should update the advertising survey every 90 days to keep us up to date on what your show is doing.

Pretty simple isn’t it? We look forward to working with your show!

Do you have a podcast?
Do you think it’s good?
Is it not getting the attention it should?
Do you want more attention?

List your show at Blubrry.com then send an e-mail to ceo with the link to Blubrry listing.
The advice will be honest and sincere. If I need to be critical I will politely do so.

By September, I want to find 100 shows that blow me away, give them the attention they deserve and showcase them to media buyers and the journalists we talk to.

The PowerPress plugin has been a hands-down winner for a lot of podcasters for more than a year now. But we have just upped the odds. For the first time podcasters can have an integrated podcast publishing solution while maintaining their own brand on their own WordPress blog.

The new update brings Blubrry Podcast Statistics to the dashboard, Podcast Publishing Integrated with Blubrry Hosting, allowing a simple 1,2,3 podcast publishing process. Heck, we even write your ID3 tags for you now, not to mention multi-language support!

Podcasters are supposed to focus on the media creation. RawVoice and the Blubrry Podcast Community is where podcasters find free and paid services that allow them to do just that — not to mention we are putting hundreds of thousands of dollars in podcasters’ pockets each month.

Podcasters, ask yourself: What company is really looking out for you, allowing you to build your own empire?

To see how we have made podcasting easier for new and old podcasters alike check out the blog post at Blubrry.com and, if you’re like me and want to watch the demo videos in a bigger resolution, check out how we have integrated our podcast hosting services.

Business Update:

In first five months of 2009 RawVoice remains profitable and is having a record breaking year in its various business units. We continue to invest heavily in ongoing development of all our podcast and new media platforms.

Our financial outlook 2009 is highly positive and our burn rate continues to be lower than our month to month revenues.

RawVoice has increased it’s staffing by more than 50% since the beginning of the year in order to keep up with growing demand for our services.

Our Podcast Advertising division is delivering millions of CPM- and CPA-based ads each month to millions of listeners across a significant number of podcast properties for our various vendors.

RawVoice now also provides a number of the major podcast networks the high majority of their advertising revenue. This has further expanded our available advertising inventory that carries no overhead for RawVoice.

We are investing in the future by pressing forward with numerous new projects that we will be bringing to the market over the next 6 months that will further our dominance in not only the podcast advertising space but also in new media.

Todd Cochrane
CEO RawVoice

You need to really explore all of your options before you go and sign a exclusive or semi-exclusive deal with a podcasting company.

There are alternatives that don’t lock you, your content, and your earning potential into one company. Here at RawVoice we never require podcasters to sign any form of contract that limits there creativity or where one can go to find sponsorship dollars for ones show.

When you are a member of our community you have the ability to participate in ad deals that you so choose to participate in. You always have the right of refusal. We are also are very generous in that the financial benefits are such that you get 70% of the dollars in every deal.

We have podcasters today that have been in ad deals for the past 4 years earning substantial incomes. These deals range from CPM Ad deals that have paid as high as $52.00 per 1000 downloads. We also have CPA buys that outright beat payment rates offered by our competitors in some cases as much as 5X times greater.

Do not be swayed into signing a contract that is going to limit the ability of your show to grow and prosper. The immediate money may look enticing but talk to those in the space that are no longer under these exclusive contracts, and you may sit back and re-consider what you are about to sign.

The economy may be down but the first 42 days of 2009 has been one of amazing growth here on advertising dollars under contract. Companies have woken up and understand that we can reach the consumers they are trying to reach and we are turning those consumers into customers!

What’s new is that a wide variety of companies want to talk about what we can put together for them and I have been working proposals as fast as I can crank them out.

Current Advertisers are telling us that our podcast advertising campaign implementations are resulting in significant ROI an in some cases we are near the top or top of the chart in conversion, new customers and sales!

We may not get all the press other companies do that have more resources than we do, but the bottom line is the bottom line and we continue to be a profitable company. Having walked away from an acquisition offer in 2007 it was the best choice we ever made.

Sitting back and projecting what the rest of 2009 will look like is nearly impossible all we can do is keep moving forward.

With that if you have a connection with a company, make an introduction and we will pay you a finders fee for that introduction when a deal is struck. ceo@rawvoice.com @rawvoice @blubrry @techpodcasts

Effective today across all of our podcast community sites get access to our Basic Podcast Statistics service by just being a community member.

We realized that in these tough economic times, that while many podcasters want to monetize there podcast, a segment of shows are not ready for advertising, but need the reliable accurate podcast statistics data to continue to build their shows that we provide. This was a large factor in us removing the pre-condition for podcasters to fill out a podcast ad survey to get access to the stats service.

Podcasters that continue want to monetize their shows need to continue to update their ad surveys every 90 days so we have up to date information on their podcasts when promoting shows to media buyers.

With a large majority of our community members using the Basic Podcast Statistics service it only made good business sense to do this. For those not familiar with our Basic Podcast Statistics here are some of the data sets we provide.

We are ramping up here at RawVoice for a new Advertising campaign. We will be doing a Mid February through end of June Ad Campaign for a new service offering by Citrix Online called GotoAssist Express.

This is a unique service, thus we are targeting unique podcast that will reach the targeted demographic.

We are looking for a few additional shows that are business service oriented. If you have a show that reaches individuals and business people that have online customer service division or even general tech support type shows you would be a good fit for this campaign.

I am not limiting the shows to those types I am also looking for shows that reach technology oriented people that may be called on from time to time to perform tech support for a friend or family member.

The product offering is such that it will appeal to the occasional user or those that do customer support on a daily basis.

While I know the scope of this buy is narrow we have already lined up a number of shows that fit the audience demo we are looking for but I have some inventory still available. Contact ceo@rawvoice.com

All shows on the buy will have to be utilizing our media statistics service no other online measurement service is acceptable.

Late in 2004 when another podcaster and I came up with the concept of the Tech Podcast Network little did I realize at the time that the ongoing business generated from that property would lead us to developing a new revenue stream that not only profits RawVoice but also profits new partners.

In late 2008 the RawVoice team decided to start seeking out leaders in the new media space in specific categories, to forge a new business partnerships. The first partnership we forged was with a long time supporter of RawVoice and a leader in the medical podcast space.

That relationship resulted in the development of the Pro Med Network under the management of Jaime Davis, while the details of the partnership are confidential Jaime’s company and RawVoice worked very hard to come up with a framework that benefits each company.

By allowing Jaime to focus on building a network, and RawVoice providing the supporting infrastructure and admin support. Jaime was able to secure a a sponsor that is advertising on the family of shows on the network from it’s launch bringing immediate value to those that are part of the network.

While Jaime’s network has just launched it re-validates a model that we know works. Thus we are seeking a limited number of category leaders to work with in building additional verticals podcast networks.

Are you a category leader? Are you serious about building a vertical contact us today
