How do Blubrry Community Advertising Deals Work
As we have developed the Blubrry Network a lot of factors have went into each and every advertising deal that we have signed.
In this document I will spell out how we operate and what you can expect from us. The pre-qualification advertising survey you as the content creator will fill out via "Your Settings" @ Blubrry.com will be what we use to get you the best deals and ONLY those shows that fill out the advertising survey will be offered promotions.
Here are our Procedures and Policies:
Your Statistics Privacy:
First and foremost your show survey info is highly confidential. We will never
share your shows individual show stats with a third party without your written
permission.
What we do Report:
We will aggregate data to present media buyers, if a advertiser is considering doing an ad
buy on 20 shows we would report the collective statistics of those shows, again
we will never report or reveal individual show numbers without your permission.
Log and Stats Submission:
Those that participate in ad buys are obligated to utilize the RawVoice Statistics service. It is free but utilization is mandatory. We will work with shows that cannot use the redirect service but third party verifiable data is required.
Statistics that are not Acceptable:
Submitting download numbers with no log files to back up those numbers is not
going be allowed, unless we are given access to the reporting system that provides
the information that we need to measure audience size in accordance with out
standards.
How we Measure and Reporting Requirements :
Each Month of a campaign you will be required to submit a run log with Date Ads Run/Time Hack/Show Link. We will already have your stats data as you will be on the redirect service.
From the RawVoice Stats and Run Logs we look at:
- Total Shows Produced in the month
- Total Downloads
- Total Unique IP Downloads
You will be paid based upon the terms of the deal you will be presented.
Important Tip: Shows that are using the RawVoice stats system prior to an ad deal being offered will have a higher priority in being offered and ad deal. We have to be very careful in making sure that we contract the correct number of impressions. If we only have your guess at downloads we will likely cap the number of downloads you would be elgible to be paid on!
The Advertising deals:
Generally we or a third part will negotiate a deal, the terms of the deal will
be revealed to you when we make you the advertising offer.
Here is a CPM example:
Example Company X wants to run a 3 month campaign and they are willing to pay
$30.00 CPM (cost per 1000 downloads).
So lets say that 100 selected shows have combined total downloads per month that total 2 million downloads. The total ad deal for that campaign per month would be $60,000 dollars.
Based upon the gross amount of the deal we will take 30% as
our commission and the remaining 70% will go to you. In this example you would
earn $21.00 per 1000 downloads per month.
Note: If a show experiences massive growth rate beyond the normal projected rates
that podcaster may have a capped limit so as to not hurt others on the deal.
I will always factor show growth into any ad deal on long ad buys aka 90-180
days thus we will shoot for what we think the downloads will be at the 45 day
mark.
CPA Campaign:
There may be times when we negotiate a CPA campaign and these are performance
based campaigns that pay on a per acquisition basis. Example the ongoing deal I
have had with GoDaddy.com pays a certain amount per acquisition, and at our
discretion we may actually (increase your revenue split) Because we understand
on some of these CPA deals that you have to work a little harder and because
these can usually be ongoing campaigns there is not as much work on our part in
their execution.
Right of Refusal:
Each campaign will be presented to those with completed pre-qualification ad survey and the show has qualified for the campaign through the advertiser. Show profucers will be informed of the details of the ad deal via email. They will be
asked to electronically agree to the terms and length of the deal and generally have 24-48 hours to respond.
The best part is you have right of refusal and by being a Blubrry Community Member you have nothine to loose!
Once signed up for a advertising campaign each podcaster is
committed to producing their shows on the same schedule as you have been, and need
to understand that you are legally bound as in accordance with our user
agreement to participate in the ad campaign.
If we do not hear
from you that is an indication that you have declined the deal. But as a courtesy
we ask that you please take a few moments and utilize the campaign manager page
to indicate your preference.
