Announce #3 July 2006
Hi folks
This is Blubrry.com Announcement #3 and as always you can find the old announcements in the announce list archive or at faq.blubrry.com. For those of you new to the community in the last 48 hours welcome to the community. This is an announce only mailing list and replying to it will result in the e-mails being sent to the team only.
Communications Update:
I want to give everyone an update. Last night very late here in Honolulu I recorded the First Brrycast you can download the show directly at (http://media.libsyn.com/media/pcn/PCN2006-07-10-03058-160-001.mp3 ) or listen online at (www.brrycast.com) this will be a periodic podcast for podcasters and listeners of the site. I wanted all of you to get to know us better, along with some of the ideals of the website. I encourage each of you to take a listen but the main points I tried to convey is that this site is your site, and the direction it will go will be shaped by the community of listeners and podcasters I cover some of the same stuff that is in the FAQ as well. For those of you that have signed up for the private podcaster mailing list we want to thank all of you for keeping the list manageable in the amount of traffic on it. That list will be were we discuss things you would like to see happen on the site, and to build bonds between one another.Site Update:
So what’s happening, well you can see that the search has been fixed and I am very happy with the robustness of the results. We are working on pages that were missing up to this point, primarily getting your archives viewable, extended friend’s lists, and host of other functions that were not ready when we launched. The team is also working on the hot picks feature, and we continue to work on inner communications within the site itself. The team is using a robust bug tracking system and hope that we are able to kill the rest of the launch bugs and start adding features that are in the design.
How you can Help Us:
Because there each web browser is different in the way they render their pages if your browser is displaying information funny please do a screen capture and send those to us. For now you can send them to blubrry@blubrry.com (and yes I did fix this email account)
Some Promotion Graphics:
I have included in this e-mail some banners that you can use on your sites to point towards your show listings at Blubrry.com. Because this site is not a directory and each of you agreed to the listing terms we want to make sure that you maximize your branding that we currently allow you to put on the website. Please take advantage of uploading your 720x200 graphic at the top of your page and if you feel you need to change out your iTunes art that is displayed on the site.
What’s Next:
The hosting portion of the site roll-out continues to be a big priority for us, as we know a number of you are waiting for that so that you can move or host new shows on the site. We will also be putting together the advertising questionnaire so that we can start building profiles.
