Before I kick off this week's announcement I want to welcome the new Blubrry community members since our last update, and make sure all of you get signed up for the private blubrry mailing list the details for that list are the bottom of the e-mail.

There is a new BrryCast online at www.brrycast.com, the official podcast of the Blubrry Community, take 15 minutes and listen to the show it just may earn your site a spot on the front page in our newest promotion.

Blubrry Site Update:

As you may or may not know, we have been rolling out some new media sites for commercial customers who will be running independent sites that will be powered by the RawVoice Generator which is the same software that drives Blubrry.com, PodcastPromos.com and PodcasterNews.com. With the team are all still working their day jobs we have been busy, we are cranking those sites out as fast as we can, and at the same time locking in the final software code updates to the beta website so that we can roll a new rev out to all of you in the next few weeks. If all goes as planned will be opening hosting up finally and will be introducing the new hot picks feature.

Angelo did make a major change to the way we are polling RSS feeds, and what took up to 20 minutes each run is now only taking a few minutes which has reduced significant load on the server.

Promotions:

#1 Do you want your show to get some special exposure then you can apply to be on our community podcast and participate in an interview about your show. Apply to be on the show at bigbrry1@yahoo.com

#2 Do you want a chance to be get your show exposure on the front page of Blubrry.com for a 7-10 day period? Send a e-mail to blubrry@blubrry.com and let us know why your show should be featured on the front page. Audio and Video submissions accepted. But be sure to have your profiles completed under “Your Settings” shows with incomplete profiles will not be eligible, this includes making sure you have your own branding graphics up on the site. We will selecting an handful of sites so be sure to check your show profiles.

#3 Subscriber to the Blubrry Blog it is getting updated on a regular basis at blog.blubrry.com as we will be putting tips and tricks to help build your shows.

Podcamp West:

Are you going to Podcamp West? Our marketing director will be at Podcamp West, and I am sure he would love to meet with any of you that attend the event. marketing@rawvoice.com

Site Concerns:

We have received a lot of feedback from everyone for the non podcast media post causing shows to get a bump back to the top of the shows and front page listing. We will be changing the site so that only an actual podcast post will get you a bump to the top of the listings. This will alleviate the issue of a site posting 25 blog posts for every 1 podcast post, thus causing a site to unfairly be at the top of the shows page. Your program listings will still update with your blog post, but only actual postings with a podcast and videocasts will get your listing a trip to the front page.

We are still in negotiations on 2 advertising deals, so long as you have your ad profile filled out in your profile you can be included in those negotiations make sure your Ad profiles are compete and up to date!
